AG consultancy for a Romanian bank
In 2011 one of the key AG projects Agriland 2000 was involved in was the one the company had to improve and develop the banking products in agriculture for a commercial bank in Romania.
The project was under the coordination of a large consultancy company from USA.
The project took a few months in order to analyse all the AG viable segments for bank financing, the source of data and information being both public through the statistics institutes but via our own market studies as well.
Topics such as yielding and cropping, hectares and number of farms, AG macro indicators, insurance elements etc all were of interest during this process.
Financing the agriculture is vital and in the next years more and more commercial banks are to get involved but other types of finance providers as well.
Agriland 2000 delivered to the commercial bank all the information required and also a set of recommendations such as:
- getting closer in the rural communities to the target segments
- promotional bank packages for financing the agricultural activities medium and long-term
- developing the online presence and activity
